Positive Start to 2014 for Simtex!
Simtex International Ltd has reported a very encouraging start to 2014 with sales 85% up on the same period in 2013.
The year started with the completion of a charter voyage from Europe to the West Coast of South America containing project cargoes. Despite industrial action at many Chilean ports, Simtex international were able to manage the discharge operation at multiple ports and for a range of delivery destinations within the required time frame and budget.
The positive start to the year continued with further charter vessels for project cargoes from East Coast South America to Middle East, Europe to South East Asia and a further shipment from Europe to Peru and Chile.
In addition to the charter side of their business, Simtex have experienced an increase in bookings for military and commercial shipments on liner services as well as growth in air freight shipments.
