Special Cargo Requires Special Solutions!
Simtex International are firm believers in treating every cargo on its merits. Sometimes it’s not the size of the cargo that matters but how it fits into the wider requirements for the end user.
Faced with the uncomfortable option of production stop resulting from a lack of raw materials, Simtex International were approached by one of their long standing clients to identify a range of solutions to move vital components within a very short deadline.
Working over the May Bank Holiday weekend, not only was the Simtex team able source a solution that met with the clients tight delivery time frame, they were also able to secure appropriate combination cargoes to reduce the unit cost for shipping.
Suitable approved Charter tonnage was placed at the clients nominated load port to move this commercially and operationally critical cargo on a “Last in First out” basis. 17 days after loading in Baltic sea port, the cargo was safely discharged and delivered to manufacturing site in Cape Town.
